HII and Bank of Thailand jointly signed MOU on Academic and Data Cooperation

On October 18, 2022, Dr. Sutat Weesakul – Director of Hydro-Informatics Institute (HII) and Mr. Dej Titivanich – Assistant Director of the Information Systems Department of the Bank of Thailand signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Academic and Data Cooperation. The ceremony was witnessed by several officials, including the Dr. Royboon Rasmeethes – HII’s Deputy Director, and Mr. Jitkasem Pornpraphun – Senior Director of the Financial Knowledge Promotion Division of the Bank of Thailand.

The MOU between HII and the Bank of Thailand is significant in fostering collaboration between the academic and financial sectors to promote community water resource management. This partnership will enable the development of a comprehensive community economy database that can be utilized to support economic growth and sustainable development. By sharing expertise and data, HII and the Bank of Thailand can enhance their efforts to achieve their respective missions and goals.

The signing of this MOU aims to encourage academic and data cooperation between the two organizations, with a focus on the analysis and development of community economy databases in the network management of community water resources. This collaboration will support HII and the Bank of Thailand in promoting economic development and achieving their missions. Following the signing ceremony, the participants visited the Bank of Thailand’s Learning Center and Data Lab.
