HII attended RECONECT’s meeting to present the success of Community Water Resource Management in Rangsit Community
On 20 November 2020, Hydro-Informatics Institute or HII attended the 4th General Assembly Meeting under RECONECT (Regenerating ECOsystems with Nature-based solutions for hydro-meteorological risk rEduCTion) through video conference.
RECONECT was run by IHE Delft with funding from European Commission. The project aims to rapidly enhance Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) for hydro-meteorological risk reduction which is designed to balance between People – Water – Nature.
During the meeting, Dr. Surajate Boonya-aroonnet, Director of Hydro Informatics Innovation Division, presented HII’s success of Community Water Resource Management in Rangsit Community that can rehabilitate the system of 8-9-10 canals to support the drainage from Raphiphat canal in the lower Chao Phraya River basin. As an International Collaborator in Work Package 4, HII also reported the progress of this project over the past year in this meeting.
